Kaloud
Kaloud is a leading brand dedicated to revolutionizing the hookah experience by combining innovative technology with traditional craftsmanship. Their mission is to make hookah smoking safer by reducing harmful compounds, while also enhancing the social and sensory aspects of the experience. Kaloud products are designed to foster meaningful connections and offer a sophisticated, elegant smoking experience.
Responsive Brand System
Given Kaloud’s diverse usage of various sizes and assets, it was essential to develop a responsive design system for the brand. Kaloud had a strong attachment to its logo, so I provided a subtle refresh to modernize its look.
Additionally, I implemented a responsive logo design system, allowing consistent use across different mediums, addressing the challenge they faced prior to our collaboration.
Packaging Design
I’ve been working with Kaloud’s product team to develop their packaging design system. Previously, there were significant inconsistencies across their packaging. I collaborated closely with the Product team to create cohesive box designs, a comprehensive manual design system, and complementary patterns, ensuring a unified and visually appealing packaging experience.
Animation
Kaloud’s products can be quite overwhelming to assemble. To simplify the process for users, I made renders of the individual elements with the 3D model given by the Product Team and created a series of animations demonstrating the assembly steps. These visual guides help users understand the order of assembly and make the process much easier.
Data Visualisation & Animation
Kaloud’s innovative hookah system features a unique filter that significantly reduces the harmful effects compared to traditional hookah setups. Backed by data supporting its benefits, I designed a series of social media posts and reels to visually communicate the reduced risks associated with using a Kaloud hookah system.
Packaging Design & Illustration
Every Kaloud product is thoughtfully designed with inspiration drawn from ancient mythology. To highlight this unique aspect, I created several gold-printed illustrations that are revealed when you open the box of your new Kaloud product. These illustrations are designed to form a seamless pattern around the packaging and are rich with symbolic elements, enhancing the unboxing experience and celebrating the brand’s mythological roots.
